COLD CAUSED DEATH
John Riederer Develops Quick Consumption and Succumbs


A severe cold which settled on his lungs and the effects of which developed quick consumption, caused the death of John Riederer, a South Tenth Street resident on Friday.

The decedent was in the employ of the Kunz and Bloeser Brewery Company as a teamster and while out on a trip into the country recently contracted the cold that later proved fatal.

Mr. Riederer was 42 years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in this city.

A widow and a family of three children survive. The funeral will be held on Sunday.

Death Friday of John Riederer from galloping consumption. The deceased, who formerly always gave the appearance of a healthy and robust man, caught cold recently while working for the brewing firm Kunz, Blaser Co., and so severely did the cold develop that it became a fatal illness.

He was 42 years old and leaves a widow and 3 children.

The funeral was held Monday morning from St. Boniface Church.

DIED:

John Riederer, a teamster, aged forty, in the employ of the Kunz & Bleser Brewing company, died last Friday night at the family residence on South Tenth street, the cause of his demise being a pulmonary disease, from which he had suffered but a short time.

He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss.

The funeral took place Monday morning from St. Boniface church.
