(1907 - 1965)

Walter A. Rohde, 58, of 1702 Western Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon at home.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Rohde was born Jan. 7, 1907, at Manitowoc, son of the late John J. and Agnes Tomchek Rohde Sr. He married Geraldine Green April 22, 1935, at Holy Name Cathedral, Chicago. He was a lifelong resident of Manitowoc and attended Lincoln High School. He was a supervisor at Mirro Aluminum Co. 41 years until illness forced his retirement in May, 1964. He was a member of the firm’s 25 Year Club.

Surviving are the wife, a daughter, Miss Alyce Janet Rohde of Skokie, Ill., a son John Thomas, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Alois Wier and Mrs. Janet Kabat, of Manitowoc. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where at 7:30 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
