Joseph A. Rohrer, 75, of 1901 Marshall Street, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, July 21, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Justin Pierce S.D.S. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Rohrer was born September 2, 1913 at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Ella Mrotek Rohrer. He resided in Manitowoc all his life. He attended St. Boniface Parochial School, graduated from Lincoln High School and also attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to retiring in 1974 he was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding as Chief Draftsman of the DeBarking Division. Mr. Rohrer was co-owner of Rohrer Woodworking. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Tillie Rohrer and Paul and Mary Rohrer of Manitowoc; five nephews, Kenneth Hauser, Richard, Peter, James and John Rohrer; ten nieces, Audrey O’Neil, Laverne Braun, Jane Yindra, Ruth Gardner, Maxine Horton, Barbara Wykes, Mary Moskoff, Elizabeth Dufek, Martha VandeLeese, Ann Marie Krejcarek; great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters and one nephew.

Private family visitation will be Monday morning at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family at the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Boniface Church.
