Walter J. Rohrer, 89, of 918 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 8, 1987, at Park Lawn Home.
Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 12 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rohrer was born May 13, 1897, son of the late John and Kate Sieracki Rohrer. He married Anna L. Lakatos, November 20, 1923 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. She preceded him in death August 27, 1974. Mr. Rohrer was employed for the City of Manitowoc as the Electrical Inspector for 16 years, retiring in 1963. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 158.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Caroline and William Waak Jr. and Ms. Dorothy Rohrer of Manitowoc; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Clarence and Helen Rohrer and Miss Tillie Lakatos of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Sievert of Two Rivers; five grandchildren, Cynthia, Priscilla, Jelaine, Ann and Mark; seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
