Walter J. Rusboldt, 74, of 1213 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he was a patient two weeks.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Martin Fox will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Rusboldt was born June 2, 1893, at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Mary Schipper Rusboldt, and always resided here. He was educated in Manitowoc schools, and served during World War I in the air service 15th Co. of the 161st Depot Brigade and worked for the Chicago and North Western Railroad 43 years. He began as a general clerk Oct. 30, 1920, and from Jan. 7, 1945, until Feb. 28, 1963, when he retired, was ticket clerk at the local depot. He married Rose Ann Klima at Chicago Sept. 6, 1919, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Frederic and James of Manitowoc and Arnold of Green Bay, a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Jeanne) Gadzinski of Manitowoc, a brother, Ervin of Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Gilley of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Kurt Mueller of Manitowoc and nine grandchildren. A son, daughter, brother and sister preceded in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday where at 7:30 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
