Edward L. Ruth, 62, of Manitowoc Rapids, died Friday at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Clement Kern will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ruth was born in Chicago in 1890 and 29 years ago came to Manitowoc. For 27 years he was employed as a truck driver by the Invincible Metal Furniture Company in Manitowoc, retiring two years ago. He never married. Only survivor is a sister, Miss Lillian Ruth of Chicago.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.
