JOHN RUZEK
(1869 - 1947)

John Ruzek, 78, who has been residing with his daughter, Mrs. H. G. Wetenkamp of 627 South 18th street, died this morning at the Holy Family hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 10 o’clock at St. Boniface church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Ruzek was born in Watertown in 1869 and 55 years ago married Miss Elizabeth Hrobsky. They located in the city in 1916 where Mr. Ruzek was custodian of the Cleveland school. He retired in 1937. He was a member of the Holy Name society. Mrs. Ruzek died in 1932.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. H. G. and Mrs. Reuben Wetenkamp, and Mrs. Albin Rezba of this city; four sons, Wencel of Watertown, Clarence, Gilbert and Floyd of this city; two brothers, Emil of Escanaba, and Henry of Boscobel; sister, Mrs. Charles Manning of Boscobel; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
