(1916 - 2002)
Theresa K. Ryder, age 86, formerly of River Hills Apartments, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, Sept. 27, 2002, at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate.
Theresa was born March 19, 1916, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Rosealia Kohlbeck Dornhaus. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School. Theresa worked at Mirro Aluminum Company for 40 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Manitowoc Senior Citizen Center. Theresa enjoyed traveling and playing sheepshead.
Theresa is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Karen Ryder, Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren: Thomas Ryder, serving with the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va.; Kevin Ryder and his wife Lisa, Manitowoc; Scott Ryder and his wife Sandra, Cartersville, Ga.; Nicole Ryder, Cumming, Ga.; four great-grandchildren: Travis, John-Dennis, Jessie and Abbigail; one brother: Edward Dornhaus, Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Beatrice Dornhaus. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Jason; stepfather, John Jackl; one brother, Robert Dornhaus; one sister, Rosemary Ording; one half-brother, Harold Jackl; and one half-sister, Sr. Anna Jackl.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
