Birth 27 December 1908∼Professional Hockey Player. A native of Camrose, Alberta, and the brother of hockey player Emil Hanson, Hanson played the position of Center for teams in the NHL, MIAC, Al-Cup, Exhib, SSHL, NWHL, AHA, IAHL, and the CHL hockey leagues. At 5'10, and 170lbs, Hanson played for the Augsburg Auggies from 1926 to 1929, St. Paul Saints from 1930 to 1933, 1934 to 1936, Oklahoma City Warriors from 1933 to 1934, St. Louis Flyers from 1936 to 1938, Cleveland Barons from 1937 to 1938, Chicago Blackhawks from 1937 to 1938, Minneapolis Millers from 1938 to 1942, Flin Flon Bombers from 1943 to 1944, and the Edmonton Vics from 1943 to 1944. Hanson was a member of the AHA First All-Star Team in 1936, 1937, 1939, and 1940. Hanson was inducted into the Augsburg College Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Hockey Hall of Fame. Hanson died on February 17, 1998, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 88.
