In the 1870 census for the Martin family, there are two boys listed only by their last names (no given name for either of them). They were said to both be 5 months old at the time but, again, with no given names. It is considered that the twin boys died at or about their birth so not sure as to how they were accounted for as 5 months old and yet, still unnamed.

They were buried in what is now known as the "Martin Family Cemetery" and are considered to be the first burials in that cemetery. Their grave is now among some twenty or more whose markings have since faded from view, leaving only a few that are still identifiable.

The cemetery was established on the farm of Lucian and Frances Martin who settled that land around 1867. The farm itself is some 8 miles outside of Iredell and identified in census records as being at "north of Bosque River, Duffau Creek & Iredell/Hico rd., Bosque County, Texas".
