JOHN B. BECKER
(1878 - 1948)

John B. Becker, 70, of 1130 South 19th street, died last night at the Holy Family hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Becker was born in Poland in 1878 and came to this country with his parents at the age of two years. He was employed at the Reiss Coal company until retiring seven years ago. In 1900 he married Mary Budysz.

Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Jankowski of Milwaukee, Mrs. Roy Bies, Mrs. Norbert Neuser and Mrs. Walter Bertler of Manitowoc; seven sons, Richard, Frank, Stanley, Joseph, Chester, Hilary of Manitowoc and Lt. Alex stationed in China; two brothers, Walter and Joseph, of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Korlesky of Manitowoc and Mrs. Anton Theiss of Two Rivers; 16 grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home after noon on Wednesday and the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
