Anton F. Becker, 86, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, October 5, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center in Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Becker was born January 13, 1898, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Mary Ziarnik Becker. He married the former Ella R. Poklinkoski on May 16, 1921, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1971. She preceded him in death September l, 1963. Mr. Becker was owner and operated a tavern in Manitowoc until his retirement.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Genevieve Gransee of Fort Worth, Texas, Florence and Leo Lyons of Corning, New York, Marjorie and Francis Kaderabek of Oklahoma City and Charlotte Becker of Appleton; six sisters, Mrs. Valeria Tadych, Mrs. Frances Frozena, Mrs. Clara Osteczanek, Mrs. Marie Denk and Mrs. Helen Becker, all of Manitowoc and Mrs. Dorothy Erickson of Yuma, Arizona; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survived. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

WEST SIDE COUPLE WED

At St. Mary's church yesterday, Rev. Kubizcewski officiating, Miss Ella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roman Poklinkowski, and Anton, son of John Becker, were united in marriage. Miss Eulalia Becker was maid of honor and Clara Becker and Henry Oshanos and Leo and Sophia Ziarnek acted as attending couples. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents which was followed with a social dance at Liberty hall. The young couple have taken up their residence in this city, the groom being employed as a clerk in his father's grocery store.
