MRS. BEATKE DIES IN CITY
Pioneer of Manitowoc To Be Buried On Friday
Mrs. Anna Beatke, 71, nee Anna Andrastek, died at her home, 1513 Columbus street, at nine o'clock this morning. She had been ill for the last four months.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the home and at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be made in the St. Mary's cemetery.
Born in Poland
Mrs. Beatke was born in Poland on October 20, 1865. She came to Manitowoc with her parents when she was six years old. About 49 years ago she was married to Joseph Beatke, who survives her.
Survivors besides the widower include three daughters, Mrs. John Kowalski, Mrs. Wladslow Musial and Mrs. Theodore Johnson, all of Manitowoc; two sons, John and Peter, both of Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The body will be taken to the home at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home. It will lie in state there until the time of the services Friday.
