Mrs. Susan Block, 55, native of Manitowoc who resided at 719 S. 16th St., died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. John F. Conrad will be celebrant, the Rev. James Stamborski deacon and the Rev. Patrick Bernardy sub-deacon at the solemn requiem high Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery.
The former Susan Drill was born July 31, 1908, daughter of the late George and Anastasia Bury Drill. She was educated at St. Mary School and was married to Richard Block Feb. 2, 1941, at St. Mary Church. He died Aug. 7, 1954.
Surviving Mrs. Block are five brothers, Peter, Benjamin, Henry and Theodore Drill, of Manitowoc and Stanley Drill, of Milwaukee; four sisters, Mrs. John Osesek, Mrs. Herbert Matte and Mrs. Edwin Podrowsky, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Helen Ladinski, of Milwaukee and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
