Josephine Bonk, 79, of 1133 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Kaszarek will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bonk, nee Josephine Zagrodnik, was born Jan. 21, 1895, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Constance Krause Zagrodnik. She was educated in Manitowoc schools and was married to John Bonk Apr. 26, 1920, at St. Mary Church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1949. She was a member of the St. Mary Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Deloris Wagner and Mrs. Celestine Check, of Manitowoc; a brother, Alex Bonk, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Ella Bonk and Paul and Marcella Bonk, of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. by St. Mary Rosary and Altar Society and at 7:30 p.m. by Father Koszarek. Harry J. Bergner is in charge of funeral arrangements.
