Mary Swagel, 76, died Tuesday, August 22, at the Kewaunee Health Care Center. She was born May 15, 1913 at Norman, the daughter of the late John and Anna Tuma Dworak. They farmed in West Kewaunee all her life. She married Wenzel A. Swagel on June 15, 1932 in St. Joseph Church, Norman. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1976. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wenzel, Jr. and Emily, Kewaunee; two daughters and one son-in-law. Gladys, Manitowoc, and Alice and Robert Koenig, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother, John Dworak; one sister, Anna Hessel, Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Swagel, Kewaunee. She was preceded in death by a son Alvin and a brother Rudolph. Funeral services were Saturday at St. John Church, Krok. Burial was in the Parish Cemetery.
