Mrs. Paul Chapleski, 78, of 1333 S. 19th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Joseph Mattern will officiate with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Chapleski, nee Gertrude Torzalla, was born May 1, 1897, at Milwaukee, daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Torzalla. She was married to Paul Chapleski May 5, 1914, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Milwaukee. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1974.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Deering, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Esther Kraemer, of Milwaukee, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. LaVerne Chapleski of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Polly Libecki, of Milwaukee, nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Two sons, George and John, a daughter, Dorothy, and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
