Mrs. Joseph Chaplesky, 73, of 1326 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Stella Winke was born in Poland Aug. 28, 1885, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Winke. She came to Manitowoc in 1914 and Jan. 9, 1915, was married to Joseph Chaplesky.
Survivors include her husband; son, Marion, of Fort Sheridan, Ill.; daughter, Mrs. Charles Allen, of Manitowoc and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where the rosary will be prayed at 6:15 p.m.
