VALENTINE DEMBSKI
(1868 - 1945)

A cerebral hemorrhage suffered by Valentine Dembski, 76, after returning home from work at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding company was the cause of his death early last evening. Mr. Dembski, a janitor at the yards, resided at 2111 Madison street.

A native of Poland, having been born there on Dec. 13, 1868, Mr. Dembski came to this country and Manitowoc county in 1904. He was married in 1891 to the former Constance Paskiwiecz, who preceded him in death 13 years ago.

The body was taken to the Pfeffer funeral home where it will lie in state from Wednesday morning until the hour of services on Thursday morning. Brief rites at 8:30 o'clock at the funeral parlors will be followed by a requiem mass at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Dembski are four daughters, Mrs. Luke Patek, Kewaunee; Mrs. Joseph Bohman and Mrs. Elmer Techse, both of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Charles Sorenson, Chicago; five sons, Frank, Joseph, Alois and Stanley, all of Manitowoc and Pvt. Chester, Camp Robinson, Little Rock. Ariz.; one brother, John Dembski, Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. John Bruski, Pulaski and Mrs. Nellie Mapsczak, Kewaunee, 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening.
