Gappa, Gregory G. Age 65 of 2350 South 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2002, at the Jens Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Deacon Robert Drobka will officiate. Entombment of his cremated remains will be take place later at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.

Gregory was born Sept 7 1937, at Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Julianna Tadych Gappa. He grew up in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955 and from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with an associate's degree in electronics and a bachelor's degree in industrial management. He lived in Milwaukee from 1955 until returning to Manitowoc in 1998. Gregory married Sharon M. Schelthelm on Dec. 31, 1958 in Manitowoc. He was a member of the Greater Milwaukee bowling association Hall of Fame. Greg enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Sharon, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail S. and Thomas Hutton, Savanna, IL; one son, Gregory G. Gappa Jr., Highland Heights, KY; three grandchildren: Nathaniel G. Gappa, Brittany A. Gappa, and Megan E. Gappa; one sister-in-law: Lorna Gappa, Glendora, CA. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Daniel Gappa.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday at the Jens Family Funeral Home, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc, from 10:00 AM until the time of Service at 11:00 AM.
