JOSEPH GERL

Joseph Gerl, 61, Newald, Wis., hotel keeper, who has been a patient at the Hickory Grove sanatorium near DePere, died this morning at the sanatorium of heart disease.
His three surviving daughters, Miss Dorothy Gerl, Mrs. Chester Ziarnik and Mrs. George Burkart all live in Manitowoc.
He was born in 1884 in Menominee, Mich. His mother, Mrs. Rosa Bauman of Waubeno, Wis., three brothers, Alfred and Ed of Newald, and Arthur of Sheboygan, all survive.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Shimek and Schwartz funeral home here, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Rev. John Landowski will officiate.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Thursday until time of services.
