Joseph J. Gospodarek, 72, of 1345 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning after a lingering illness at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gospodarek was born March 13, 1888, in Poland, son of the late John and Helen Revolinsky Gospodarek. He married Agnes Kowalski at Kewaunee 52 years ago. She died in 1959. Prior to his retirement 13 years ago, Mr. Gospodarek was employed as a maintenance man at Manitowoc County Hospital. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church.

Surviving are three sons, Harry and Joseph Jr. of Manitowoc and Frank of Sturgeon Bay; two daughters, Mrs. Dominic Zagrodnik and Mrs. Mark Mosey of Manitowoc; a brother, John of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A daughter, Florence, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Agnes Kowalski of this city ad Jos Gospodarek of Manitowoc were married at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Lechowski performed the sacred rites. The wedding was appropriately celebrated at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos Kowalski residing on 5th Street. The young couple will make their home at Manitowoc.
