Edwin A. Gospodarek, age 76, of 1326 South 18th St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 16, 1991 at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian burial will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. With burial to follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born July 2, 1915 in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late John and Katherine Kowalski Gospodarek. He married the former Blanche Pribyl on Oct. 16, 1946 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Stangelville, Wis. He attended the St. Mary's Parochial School and was a graduate of the Manitowoc Lincoln High School. After graduation he then entered the United States Army Air Corps and served as a corporal with the Dental Technicians during World War II. Upon his return to Manitowoc he was employed with Kelvinator of Manitowoc for 36 years retiring in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche Gospodarek of Manitowoc, four sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Chris Gospodarek of Appleton, Dennis and Cheryl Gospodarek of Boca Raton, Fla., Donald Gospodarek of Manitowoc and Douglas Gospodarek of Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Michael Ducat of Two Rivers, Jennifer Frank of Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Bob Schultz of Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Alvina Gospodarek of Manitowoc. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm by the Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M.
