MARY HOFFMAN
(1859 - 1937)

Mrs. Mary Hoffman, 78, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frances Kaczmarek, 1313 South 16th street. She had been ill six months.

Mrs. Hoffman was born in Germany in 1859 and 43 years ago came to this country, locating at Philadelphia where she was married to John Hoffman. Ten years later they came to this city. Mr. Hoffman died 10 years ago.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. John Mrotek, city; two sisters, Mrs. Kaczmarek and Mrs. Michael Drill, city; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Holy Rosary society of St. Mary's Catholic church.

The body was removed to the home of Mrs. Michael Drill, 1516 Madison street, from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home this afternoon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Drill home and at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
