JOHN HOFFMAN TAKEN BY DEATH AT HOME TODAY
John Hoffman, 69, passed away at his home at 1126 South Twenty-fifth street early this morning after a lingering illness. Old age and infirmities resulting therefrom were the immediate causes of death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at nine o'clock to the St. Mary's church here the Rev. Father Kubiszewski will conduct services. Funeral will take place in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Hoffman was born in Poland, June 9, 1858, and came to this country directly to Manitowoc at an early age and has since lived here. He has been employed with various firms in the city but for the last few years has been retired.
He is survived only by his wife, who was Mary Blalek, before their marriage.
