Ruby Corine Workman Adams, 84, resident of 112 Timberwood Road, widow of John Albert Adams, died October 11, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Laurens County, October 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Allen Workman and Sally Pearl Smith Workman. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Clinton High School and attended Greenwood College of Commerce. She was formerly employed by the Greenwood County Probate Court Office, JC Penny and retired from Bankers Trust, now Bank of America. Mrs. Adams was a member and former Sunday School teacher at South Main Street Baptist Church and a former hospice volunteer with Hospice Care of the Piedmont. Surviving are four sons, John Thomas "Tommy" Adams and wife Shirley of Mauldin, Charles Kenneth "Kenny" Adams and wife Cynthia, Russell Wayne "Rusty" Adams and wife Nina and Dennis Jeffrey Adams and wife Cindy, all of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Susan Arias and husband Tony of Greenwood, Russ Adams and wife Cori of Whitsett NC, Ben Adams and wife Jennifer and Christopher Adams, all of Greenwood; two great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Nicholas Arias, both of Greenwood. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Blyth Funeral Home.
