MELVIN ZIMMERMAN

Melvin H. Zimmermann age 75 of 1445 North 7th Street, Manitowoc died Friday February 22, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation/North Ridge.
Melvin was born June 12, 1937 in Green Bay son of the late Phillip and Freda (Diefenthaler) Zimmermann. On December 9, 1961 Melvin married the former Elaine Roedig in New Holstein. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1993. Melvin was employed for many years at the Manitowoc Company until his retirement. He umpired softball games and enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law: Marvin (Cynthia) Zimmermann, Sheboygan Falls; three sisters and brother-in-laws: Mildred (Herbert) Rosso, Port Washington; Shirley (Marvin) Thimmig, New Holstein; Arlene (Harold) Bouse, Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Elaine; infant child; one brother; one sister; and five nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Jens Family Funeral Home Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Al Boeldt will officiate. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc.
