Naomi Farris, age 77, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Naomi entered into this life on September 12, 1936, in Knox Co., KY Her parents: Earl and Stella Mooneyham Martin. She was united in marriage on June 21, 1954, to Ray Farris, and they shared 59 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker, spending her days loving and caring for her family. Naomi was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of family gatherings, cooking, crafts, flowers and gardening.Naomi will be lovingly remembered by her husband: Ray Farris; her daughter: Kimberly Farris Terrell and her husband,Jim Terrell; her six grandchildren: Aimee Mills, Stephanie Barton (Brent), Candice Henson (Lane), Brooke Terrell, Tara Taylor (Michael) and April Sears (Corey); her four great-grandchildren: Whitley Tye, Brenli Barton, Aubrey Sears and Camden Taylor; her three sisters: Joyce Valentine (Kenneth), Jean Sowders and Glenda Hurst (Cecil); and her son-in-law: David Hensley.Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her son: Terry Ray Farris; her daughter: Sheila Hensley and her sister: Wanda Jones.
