Karl L. Schultz died at his home on a Sunday afternoon, following a brief illness. He was 86 years old. Son of Frederick William Schulz and Dorothea Sophia Mueller, he came to the US from Germany around 1869. He settled with his family in the Cedarburg, WI area and moved to Appleton, WI is 1873. He married Minnie Meltz of Greenville, WI in 1881. They had nine children, four which were living at the time of his death. Minnie preceded him in death from TB in 1906. He is buried with Minnie at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
