Mrs. Amelia Schwandt, 90, who came to Appleton in 1873, died yesterday afternoon at her home 818 N. Oneida street.
Born March 5, 1851, in Scheoneberg, Brandenberg, Germany, she came to the United States with her parents at the age of 16, the family settling in Cedarburg. She was married at Cedarburg Nov. 22, 1872, to the late August Schwandt and moved to Appleton the next year.
Survivors are three sons, Edward and Frank, Appleton; Robert, Chicago, Ill; one daughter, Emma, Appleton; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Hoh Funeral home with the Rev. Theodore Marth in charge. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
