Arthur Edward Armstrong passed away peacefully on September 14, 2007, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 5, 1923, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Arthur L. and Anna Armstrong. He married Alberta Wehrli on September 3, 1943, in St. Louis. They had 62 wonderful years together and spent 33 years as residents of Moberly, Missouri. Arthur was a B-25 pilot, stationed in Southwest Asia during World War II, and received the Air Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with four Bronze Stars. He graduated from Washington University with honors in 1948 and was a practicing CPA until 1960 when he founded Kwik-Kold, Inc., a company engaged in the manufacture and sale of chemical heat and cold packs for first aid use. He enjoyed hunting and golf and was a past president of the Moberly Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Alberta, and is survived by his daughter, Nancy Volmert and her husband, Mel, of Springfield; son, Rich and his wife, Carol, of Scottsdale, Arizona; son, Mike and his wife, Deanna, of Springfield; and his six granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren. His quiet strength will be missed by all. The family appreciated the kindness and care given to Arthur during his time at The Gardens and at Magnolia Square Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 18, at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. Memorial contributions may be made to the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, P.O.
