Hazel lived most of her life in Lumpkin County, and worked at Gold Kist for many years. A member of Browns Chapel Nondenominational Church, Mrs. Beck was a hard working Christian lady who loved everyone. She passed on her talents of singing and playing guitar to her family.
The daughter of the late Hubert Mincey and Ida Lance Lowe, Hazel was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Leon Beck; grandson, Scotty Beck; great grandson, Payton Wehunt; 5 sisters and 6 brothers.
Mrs. Beck is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Royce and Pam Beck, Murrayville, GA; David and Becky Beck, Eton, GA; son, Frankie Beck, Monroe, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Adene and James Shook, Ellijay, GA; Brenda and Junior Evans, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Sudie Beck, Monroe, GA. 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and special 22 year old “Tiny Dog” Beck also survive.
Funeral services for Hazel are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, October 7, 2013 in the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.
Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Junior Evans, Rev. Ricky Brown and Rev. Tommy Ross will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from7 PM until 9 PM Saturday, October 5, all day Sunday October 6, and 9 AM until time of service Monday, October 7.
