Mr. Donner was born in Edinburg March 2, 1872, the daughter of the late John and Lucy Martin. Her father was a prominent farmer and cattle raiser in Christian county.
She married Mr. Donner Nov. 13, 1890 at Taylorville. They farmed for twenty-nine years near Edinburg, retiring twenty-one years ago and moving to Springfield where they have made their home. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last month with a dinner at Kumler Methodist church.
Mrs. Donner was a member of the Christian church at Edinburg.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Miss Veta G. Donner, Sangamon county schoold nurse; one son, Gordon R., of R.R. 7, Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Jacob Byers, of Taylorville; four brothers, Isaac and James Martin, both of Taylorville; C.H. Martin, of Edinburg; and Grover C. Martin, of Camanche, Ia.
Funeral was held at Ellinger & Kunz funeral home.
Burial in Oak Hill.
