He was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Girard, the son of Arthur E. and Julia Loth Greenan.
He married Margaret S. Steward in 1941 in Springfield.
Mr. Greenan retired in 1977 as a postal inspector with the U.S. Postal Service.
He later retired as deputy director of the Illinois State Police Department's internal investigations in 1985.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of Third Presbyterian Church, St. Paul's Lodge 500 AF&AM, Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine, National Association of Letter Carriers, National Association of Postal Inspectors, Illinois Police Association, Elks Lodge No. 158 and American Legion Post 0759, Chatham.
Survivors: wife, Margaret S.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
