Cyril F. Whiteman was the son of Otho and Gaye (Venenian) Whiteman. Cy attended Knox College, and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was married to Frances E. Clingenpeel on September 19, 1937, in Burlington, IN. He worked in the die shop at Alcoa for 37 years.

He is survived by a son, Jerry; a sister, Wilma Jean Gard; a grandson and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
