William Collins PFC US Army WWII 12 Apr.1914-28 Feb.1978 Note: He married Edith Carolyn Willis and they had three children, Donald Collins Keene, deceased just after birth, Bill Ed Keene and Carolyn Jane Keene. He had one brother, Paul Adrian Keene and four sisters, Mary Lou Keene Rice, Pauline Keene Cloud, Lorraine Keene Snodgrass Young and Edna May Keene Miner. He was a carpenter, specifically a cabinet maker, i.e., kitchen cabinets and other built-ins. He was a Christian and a good man who took good care of his family. He died at age 63 of pneumonia, secondary to atheriosclerosis at Veteran's Memorial Hospital, Bonham, Fannin County, Texas.

Services for William Collins Keene, 63, Route 1, Ivanhoe, who died Tuesday in the Sam Rayburn Memorial VA Hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wise Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Duplex Cemetery.

Born in Fannin County April 12, 1914, he was the son of Willie P. Keene and Jane Collins Keene. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army and a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Keene of Route 1, Ivanhoe, his wife, Mrs. Edith Willis Keene of the home; son, Bill Keene of Duplex, Texas; daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Jane Gleason of Myrtle Beach, S. Car., brother, Paul Keene of Waco; sisters, Mrs. Edna Miner of Bonham, Mrs. Lorraine Young of San Diego, Mrs. Pauline Cloud of Longview, and Mrs. Mary Rice of Tonto Basin, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
Family members will be at the funeral home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
