"BARBARA T. BARTLETT - BURLINGTON - Barbara Ruth (Towle) Bartlett, 86, died peacefully on Oct. 15, 2013, in Birchwood Terrace.

She was born on June 21, 1927, in Franklin, daughter of the late Winslow and Floy (LaGrange) Towle. Barbara grew up in Franklin and was a 1944 graduate of Brigham Academy in Bakersfield. Following high school she worked at Central Vermont Railway in St. Albans, until her marriage to Ernest John Bartlett in 1948.

They started a family in 1949, and moved to Milton in 1953. She was an excellent wife, mother and homemaker and devoted her entire life to her family. She worked at the MCHV/Fletcher Allen patient accounts office for 20 years, retiring in 1998.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Winslow, Altha, and Hiram; brothers-in-law, William Loomis and Henry Horstmann; and former husband, Ernest Bartlett. . ." (Burlington Free Press, 16 Oct 2013)
