CROMONA, Ky -Adolph Alfred Amburgey, 69, died Jan. 4, 1998 at the VA Center, Johnson City, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sammie Amburgey (106002049); his parents, James Lawrence and Myra Greer Amburgey; and a brother, Lawrence Lee Amburgey (106002727).
Surviving are his wife, Trula Fay Stamper Amburgey , Cromona, Ky.; three daughters, Avon Cook, Milton, Ky., Connie Roberts, Cowan Ky., and Stephanie Hall S, Cromona, Ky.; two sons, Alfred Amburgey , Jenkins, Ky., and Richard Amburgey , Cromona, Ky.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Axelrod, Cleveland, Ohio and Avon Revilla, Manassas , Va.; two brothers, Jack Amburgey and Sidney Amburgey, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lee Greer Family Cemetery, Pound, Va., with the Rev. Dwight Adams Adams officiating. Burial will be at the Lee Greer Family Cemetery, Pound, Va.
