Jacob O. Aardal, 66, of Havre, a retired carpenter, died June 10 near Whitefish. Aardal was born Jan. 2, 1906, in Norway. He came to the United States in 1927 and spent two years in Ames, Iowa, before he moved to Havre. He later went to Alaska, returning to Havre in 1962. He made his home in Havre since that time. Aardal belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Sons of Norway, and the Carpenter's Union. His wife, Margaret, whom he married in Alaska in 1955, preceded him in death in 1962.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Elsred Jacobson in Norway; two brothers, Asbjorn and Dagner, both in Norway; and cousins, Eli and Alf Skram of Havre.
