Abbie W. Anderson, 84, died Sunday at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

A memorial service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church with Rev. Kirby Nave officiating.

Cremation has occurred.

She was born May 17,1906 in Round Lake, Minn., to Walter W. and Katie Striker Walker. She moved to Blaine County as a child with her family. She was a 1924 graduate of Harlem High School.

She and Ralph Anderson were married July 22,1926 in Havre. They lived in Blaine County until 1941 when they moved 7 miles east of Havre. In 1954, they moved into Havre.

She was a 4-H leader for more then 25 years. She was selected as Eagles Auxiliary of the Year in 1987 and was selected as County Homemaker of the Year in 1982. She also worked as a cook with the Salvation Army and at Farmers Union Camps.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Eagles, and VFW auxiliaries, Home Demonstration Club, Friends of the Library, Hospital Guild, Rebecca Lodge, Sons of Norway and Lois Circle of her Church. She was active in the Democratic Party.

Survivors include her sons, Ralph of east of Havre, and Lee of west of Havre, a daughter Alva Scheafer Puryear of Irmo, S.C. a sister Patty Williams of Butte, 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband July 31,1985, a daughter Vera Woodward, a son Harvey, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
