J. Fred Adcock, Emerson Av., died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday after a three-year illness.
He was born in Wood county, May 30, 1879, the son of George and Mary Tucker Adcock, and spent his entire life in Wood county.
He worked for 48 years for the Old Beechwood Chemical Co., and retired from active employment about 10 years ago.
He was a member of Stout Memorial Methodist Church.
Adcock is survived by two sons, Robert G. and Lawrence G., both of Parkersburg; and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Taylor, at home.
The body has been taken to the Leavitt funeral home, where friends may call after 5 p.m. today. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.
