Miss Sara Boreing died in Battle Creek, MI, last Thursday, after being struck by a Taxicab.
She was born in Laurel County, and was a daughter of Hon. Vincent Boreing, dec. She went to school here, Bowling Green and at Oxford, Ohio. For the past several years she spent most of her time traveling, going to Europe twice, and taking several other extensive trips.
She has been making her home in Battle Creek, MI, for two years on account of her health, and she intended to come to Kentucky soon, as her health was very much improved.
On last Thursday she was crossing a street in Battle Creek and was struck by a Taxicab, which knocked her several feet, fracturing her skull. She was taken to a hospital, but died in about forty five minutes.
Her relatives were notified immediately and R. and Mrs. Melcom, of Louisville, and John R. Boreing, who was in Louisville at the time, went to attend to the body.
The remains were brought to London Sunday and the funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Church by Rev. H. W. Seifert at 2 o'clock. Her remains were laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The following were here to attend the funeral: Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Melcom, of Louisville, and Mrs. J. M. Williams, of Paris, and Mrs. Mattie Williams, of Mt. Vernon.
