He appears as G. W. Densmore in the 1850 Warren County, New York census, age 17, a farmer living with his parents. He served in the Army in 1864 and was a carriage maker in 1869 in Horicon, New York. D. G. W. Stickney made two entries in niece Anna (Stickney) Hoag's Autograph Book. He indicated he was from Central City (Iowa) in Jun 27, 1878 and Star Prairie (Wisconsin) on 25 August 1880.
