The following obituary was published in the Waynesburg Republican, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania:
"Benjamin A. Hunnell, 74, a former resident of Kirby, died Sunday, February 25, 1990, at Curry Memorial Home, after a long illness. He was born January 10, 1916, in Kirby, a son of George and Nellie Baer Hunnell. He resided in Kirby his entire life and was a farmer and a member of Kirby United Methodist Church.
"Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carlton "Shirley" Miller of North Olmstead, OH and Arlene Geisweidt of Dover, DE; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Charles and Paul Hunnell, are deceased."
