Marriage - Wessel - DeDrew- Miss Maud DeDrew, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeDrew, was married last evening to Jacob Wessel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Wessel, all of West Sayville. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H.J. Haarsma of the Christian Reformed Church.
Obituary - Mrs. Jacob Wessels- Particularly sad were the circumstances attending the death of Maude, the young wife of Jacob Wessels of West Sayville, who passed away on Tuesday, aged but twenty years leaving a helpless infant, a little son only a few hours old. The deceased was a daughter of Peter DeRoo and was born in Holland, but had lived here seven years. Much sympathy is felt for the young husband and babe as well as for other relatives bereaved. The funeral was held yesterday at 2:30 p.m. in the Christian Reformed church, the Rev. H.J. Haarsma officiating. The interment was in the Union Cemetery.
On November 26, 1906, Jacob lost his infant son.
