Harlan B Chamberlain 78 of Cedar Rapids died in his home following a couragous battle with multiple Sclerosis. Harlan was born July 22, 1924 in Luana, Iowa the son of Leon and Esther Smith Chamberlain, He married Ramona Harris on Aug 14 . 1948. He graduated From Postville High School and worked at the Luana Savings Bank for 2 years before joining the army Air VOrs where he served as a pilot during World War II. He graduated from the University Of Iowa with a BA in business. He worked for the FDIC as a federal bank examiner for more than 30 years. H e enjpyed fishing ,the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and spending time with his grandchildren, he will be missed by his wife Ramona, three daughters, Deborah Chitkara and husband Madan of Gaithersburg, MD. Cynthia Armstrong and husband Paul of Mount Vernon, and Abbe Kelsey of Colorado Springs, Colo . a brother Wayne and wife Marge of Luana, 10 grandchildren . He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Karen Marie, a sister Eileen and a brother Earl.
