Anton J. Zahorik, 87, of Taus (Rt. 2, Cato), died late Monday night in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 1:30 p.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Reifs Mills. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post 8179 of Cato.

Mr. Zahorik was born Dec. 25, 1891, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late John and Elizabeth Hruska Zahorik.

He was a veteran of World war I. He entered the military service May 25, 1918, and served in Germany as a bugler and was discharged June 12, 1919. He married Anna Fogeltanz Oct. 22, 1924, in St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Crek. The couple farmed in the Town of Franklin, retiring in 1950, when they moved to their present home. He was a member of Kubale-O?Connell VFW Post of Cato.

Survivors include his wife, Anna, two daughters, Dorothy at home and Mrs. Raymond (Veronica) Siebert of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Anna Tisler of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and a great grandchild. Three brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday, where a prayer service will be 8 p.m. Wednesday by Father Haen.
