SGT. FRANCIS C. KAMINSKI
(1911 - 1961)

Sgt. Francis C. Kaminski, 50, a former Manitowoc resident with the United States Army stationed at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, N.M., died Sunday at that base following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John S. Landowski officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.

He was born Feb. 21, 1911, at Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Catherine Ziarnik Kaminski. He was educated at St. Mary Parochial School and at Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. He entered the army in 1943 and served 18 years in Germany. Aluetian Islands, New Guinea, Japan and the United States. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are one son, Donald of Waupun; a daughter, Mrs. Roland (Margaret) Shikowski of Two Rivers; four brothers, John, Alex, Theodore and Alfred of Manitowoc; five sisters, Miss Stella Kaminski, Mrs. Francis Rugowski, Mrs. Kenneth Surfus, Mrs. August Riederer and Mrs. Leonard Rappel of Manitowoc and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.
