PAUL KATTNER PASSES AWAY
Retired Meat Market Operator To Be Buried Saturday
Paul L. Kattner, 71, retired meat market operator, 2001 Marshall street, died early today. He had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Kattner home and at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church.
Born in Germany Mr. Kattner was born in Germany and at the age of 19 came to America, locating in this city. He learned the butcher trade and was employed for a number of years in shops here. Forty-five years ago he opened his own shop on 22nd street and later opened a shop on Marshall street.
Sixteen years ago Mr. Kattner retired, the business being taken over by his sons. He married Miss Martha Shipper of this city in 1892.
Survivors are the widow; five sons, Frank, Joseph, Leo, John and Stanley, all of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schultz, Two Rivers, Mrs. Reinhart Holsen and Miss Caroline, both of this city; four sisters, Mrs. F.M. Coker, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Frank Revolinsky, Mrs. Frank Rohde, and Mrs. Mary Swedin, all of Milwaukee; two brothers, Joseph, Burlington, Wis., Julius, city; and six grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Kattner home this afternoon from the Pfeffer funeral home.
