John (Jack) Kennedy, age 78, of 400 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 1996, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. John Puodzinus O.F.M. with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born October 1, 1917, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Francis and Lucille Schneider Kennedy. On June 26, 1943, he married Josephine Tychanski at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage. Jack was employed with Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. for many years and then with Mirro Aluminum Company until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Local Machinists #516 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Kennedy, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Isabel Kennedy, Two Rivers, William and Jane Kennedy, Marenesco, Mich.; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
The family would like to thank the North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care that was given to Jack over the last six months.
